The Streaming Giant Casts Ideal Star for Bentham in One Piece Upcoming Installment

The Secret Organization is set to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the true confrontation won’t unfold until the next season, and a adored, fan-favorite member has just been cast.

The streaming service revealed this week that the skilled actor has joined the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Bentham. This character has the ability to morph into an exact copy of any individual they’ve made contact with with their main hand. Escola, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that character reimagined as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action series, as in the source material and animated series.

Escola is joined by multiple new cast members who will portray Baroque Works to reality, including leader Sir Crocodile, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as another operative, and a familiar face, who also joins the cast as the ruler of the fictional land.

Although the role is a key figure of the organization, the individual won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this represents a major departure in the placement of their first appearance, one that could indicate more adjustments to the plot development.

The actor’s combination of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the character. Along with their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is due to premiere for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
