Star Denies Anti-Vaccine Position After Voicing Contentious Covid Film

Liam Neeson has given his vocal talents to a feature-length documentary that casts doubt on the efficacy of immunizations and praises former government figure the political figure.

The Documentary's Disputed Foundation

Named "Plague of Corruption," the film is adapted from a well-known publication co-authored by Judy Mikovits, who rose to infamy during the global outbreak for allegations that the illness was linked to a faulty batch of the influenza shot.

The publication's collaborator, Kent Heckenlively, has penned books with conspiracy-prone figure the Infowars host. Heckenlively wrote online praising Neeson's participation in the documentary.

A Strong Denial

A spokesperson for Neeson have released a statement pushing back against suggestions that he supports anti-immunization sentiments.

"We all recognize that unethical practices might be present within the medical sector, but that must not be conflated with opposition to vaccines," the comment explains. "Neeson never has been, and is not, against vaccines. His considerable work with the UN children's agency reinforces his consistent support for public-health initiatives."

It added that the performer was not involved in crafting the project's narrative and that inquiries about its claims are best addressed to the producers.

Central Claims In the Film

In the film, the voiceover spoken by Neeson includes several controversial points:

  • It claims that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "blind obedience" to health authorities.
  • It argues that "science has become dangerously influenced by politics."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured claiming, "The big problem with vaccines is that they just aren't safely tested."
  • It further attacks pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused mental anguish that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • Concerning pandemic shots, it references a view that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Previous Background and Recent Disputes

It includes a 2004 BBC documentary about clinical trials on children, which was afterwards the focus of a correction by the corporation for editorial breaches.

Recently, RFK Jr called on the national health agency to revise its official position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism. This claim is echoed in the film, contrary to a new report from the WHO confirming no such link has been found.

An Earlier Record of Advocacy

Differing from the documentary's message, Neeson has previously voiced clear advocacy for vaccines in his role as a Unicef global ambassador.

Two years ago, he referred to vaccines as "a remarkable triumph," adding that "The debate about vaccines in lately has overlooked how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in our history."

The documentary ends with Neeson's script stating, "This marks not the finish of our journey. This is the beginning of a fresh chapter."
